AI Remediation Insights

AI Remediation Insights uses artificial intelligence to generate tailored remediation suggestions for detected issues. This feature helps you understand how to resolve security issues by providing context-aware guidance.

Prerequisites

  • You must accept the AI data processing consent before using this feature
  • Available for vulnerability and misconfiguration issues

First-Time Setup

The first time you use AI Remediation Insights, you'll be prompted to accept the data processing terms:

  1. Navigate to any issue detail page
  2. Scroll to the AI Remediation Insights section
  3. Click Generate Instructions
  4. Review the consent dialog explaining what data is shared:
  5. Issue title and type
  6. Issue description
  7. Operating systems affected and asset count
  8. Click Accept & Continue

You can manage or revoke your consent at any time from Admin > Account Settings > Privacy & Consents.

Using Environment & Tool Profiles

For more accurate remediation advice, create profiles that describe your environment:

Creating a Profile

  1. In the AI Remediation Insights section, click Manage Profiles
  2. Click Create New Profile
  3. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Windows Intune Environment")
  4. Describe your tools, platforms, and processes:
  5. Management tools (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, etc.)
  6. Deployment methods
  7. Any environment-specific constraints
  8. Click Save

Using a Profile

  1. Select your profile from the dropdown before generating instructions
  2. The AI will tailor its recommendations to your specific environment
  3. Results will reference the tools and methods you've described

One-Time Queries

If you don't want to save a profile, you can provide context for a single query:

  1. Leave the profile selector empty or on "None"
  2. Enter your environment details in the text area
  3. Click Generate Instructions

This context is used only for the current request and is not saved.

Generating Remediation Instructions

  1. Navigate to the issue detail page
  2. Scroll to AI Remediation Insights
  3. Optionally select or create an Environment & Tool Profile
  4. Click Generate Instructions
  5. Review the AI-generated guidance
  6. Use the copy or download buttons to save the instructions

To view or revoke your AI consent:

  1. Go to Admin > Account Settings > Privacy & Consents
  2. Find AI Remediation Insights in the list
  3. View when you accepted or click Revoke to disable

Revoking consent disables the feature but does not delete previously generated advice.

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific in profiles: Mention specific tool versions and configurations
  • Include constraints: Note any policies that limit remediation options
  • Update profiles: Keep profiles current as your environment changes
  • Verify suggestions: Always validate AI recommendations against your organization's policies before implementing
